You think Third sound anything like Caravans second and third albums, or Rock Bottom? I don't. Like I said it's more proto Eno art rock than prog, or jazz in Thirds case.

I know you like when non Anglo rock bands have touches from their own culture so hopefully you appreciate that Italian touch

Finally listening to the Long John Silver record I bought years ago another Grace banger. She deserves more credit for developing her song craft so well. Kept it more than competitive with de boys.
hallogallo by NEU! is the best song of 1972 bros. Don't trust me? Listen to it for yourself god bless.

@Elric Ayers album was solid. opening suite track was proggy as all hell but then through the rest i saw what you meant with your description. lot of diverse sounds
first impression it seems better than his first 2 efforts tbh but i should revisit those

Yeah it smokes the other two imo
I checked out the Italian album today cool but needs to grow
Another year another Emerson Lake & Palmer album that I hate more every time I hear

they grew on me a bit and im a moderate fan now
all those keyboards too overwhelming for you? definitely get a bit overbearing. them always throwing in a short bs track or two definitely doesn't help their albums
Can’t believe i missed 1970-1971, James Brown absolutely DOMINATED those years singles-wise

Yeah those keyboards make me want to self harm.
Trying to put respect on Suppers Read for you and I wish it didn't take 13 minutes before it did anything that moved me

you just sitting there totally bored during Hackett's crazy solo like 7.5 minutes in
i adore the opening part with Gabriel's vocals too. and the main theme of the song is obviously better when they reprise it during the climax but i think its amazing the first time too
just checeked and the Willow Farm part is in there too, would've thought youd appreciate the brit whismy
whole song is 10/10 but its all building to those last 3 minutes for the climax
TO TAKE THEM TO THE NEW
JERUSALEEEM
the other side of Foxtrot do anything for you?

oh uh I definitely havent been following the legend that goes along with each chapter or anything didnt realize there was one. looks like Willow Farm is my favourite bit.
Can-Utility and the Coastliners is kinda hard, Watcher and Tine Table have some nice bits but Gabriels vocals are not doing it for me really. surprising cause i like his 80s singles so much.
and these lyrics nearly killed me... all of the ridiculousness of fantasy Zeppelin tunes with none of the evocative crypticness.
"A carved oak table
Tells a tale
Of times when Kings and Queens
Sipped wine from goblets gold
And the brave would lead their ladies
From out of the room
To arbours cool
A time of valour
And legends born
A time when honour
Meant much more to a man than life
And the days knew only strife
To tell right from wrong
Through lance and sword"

yeah idk about some of the lyrics. and just wait til you get to Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. i love the album but i have no idea what the concept even is but cant say ive tried to pay much attention to it
i like the occasional medieval or biblical imagery. good contrast to the esoteric spirituality stuff of whatever the f*** Jon Anderson was talking about in Yes
