@Elric your thoughts on roxy music's magnum opus - stranded (1973)?

As good as the albums with Eno were, he wasn't wrong when he admitted they made their best album after he left f***in mega opus

If There Is Something will always be my favorite song of theirs but you can't beat Amazona, Mother Of Pearl, Song For Europe and Just Like You

Ive had a real hard time going back to any later Marley since I discovered Scratch productions ngl. Chris Blackwell productions were just too clean sounding.

yea i agree it sounds like clapton or some s*** there's a reason tosh called him chris whiteworst

the songwriting remained as strong as ever but yes the whole point of reggae is the production and post 71 bob is severely lacking in that department. it's what put me off his music initially when i was getting big into the congos, culture, toots, heptones etc.

i still love burnin, catch a fire and uprising especially though

They do say the 3 “B’s” of power pop are the Beatles, Beach Boys, and the Byrds.

Ngl I've never heard Byrds and power pop in the same sentence but I guess I can slightly see it. Thought The Who were considered the progenitor.
