Not really. It’s just fun. What that album has going for it is the weird darker seedy atmosphere and something like A Song for Europe on Stranded does that way better than anything actually on For Your Pleasure.

I was going through my worst breakup ever when I got to Stranded and man it was years before Song For Europe didnt gut me
im team Stranded as well but FYP also a mega album.

Badfinger had a pretty big and final year as a band in 74. They put out 2 records. The first (self titled) is spotty, but still has some gems. Their final record (Wish You Were Here) I think is maybe their best.
RASIE 🎣Apr 3, 2025·1 replyFellaI’ve been listening to a lot of Roxy Music lately and they’re easily one of my favorite bands of the 70’s and I think Bryan Ferry is a genius, but I still struggle to get what all the For Your Pleasure fans are on about. Eno is great at bringing greatness out of a good band, but he sometimes sabotages the instincts of one that’s already great. In Every Dream Home a Heartache is brilliant tho.
Yeah ive never gotten the FYP glazing either. Its great but self-titled and Stranded wash it easily for me. I'd put Avalon over it too tbh.

Country Life grew on me a ton recently. I think I still prefer that to FYP. Siren is criminally underrated too. Just Another High is maybe my favorite closing tracks of theirs. Sounds like a 90’s Suede song.
