During the 60s list collection I said 66-70 is probably the best 5 year stretch ever but a man can't love 2010. Bruh
every year has it's fair share of the best and worst songs of all time on average.
that's why the best decade for music debate is null and void.
I think this whole album is incredible and this song is one of my favorites. I wore it out listening to it non stop a few months ago. You stole my thunder. I wanted to post that song once you moved onto 74.
The song came out in '73 sorry

Well I’ll be reposting it. Let’s not go by single releases. The album dropped in 74.

Nah too late Ive been going by single release dates the whole time. It's a song thread not album.
Especially when the single comes out like half a year before the album.
Always makes me think of the last track on American Heartbreak @RVI @RASIE
!https://youtu.be/rioOeJf10Z8?si=HZ4eSI4HNKdA1R7Vi kinda hear it
youre definitely the first person in human history to make a connection between Zach Bryan and Gong though
Gong got their best album IMO coming next year. not sure if youll feel the same though

Not sonically obviously. But I get the same effect from;
"It is night, it's not night
I'm happy, I'm not happy
I'm sad, I'm not sad
It's early, It's late"
And
"I'm lost but I know where I'm going,
I can't make out the name but I know every word,
I don't know where I am but I know exactly where I am"

Roadmaster revisit hitting hard. Might be my favorite Gene album tbh. The songwriting is just so consistent. Perfect melodies everywhere. Really tight timeless songs.

His peak Byrds stuff and No Other still my favorite but Roadmaster might have surpassed the Dillard & Clark album for me which is crazy enough.
"Fanny were one of the finest rock bands of their time, in about 1973.... They're as important as anybody else who's ever been, ever; it just wasn't their time"
Their album is great tbh. Between them and Suzi Quatro this is easily the best year for female rock since the days of Wanda Jackson and Brenda Lee.
did you check this album out @Fella
I haven’t but it sounds up my alley.

I never could get into much Suzi Quatro. I like Devil Gate Drive from 73, but the only other song of hers that has connected with me was If You Can’t Give Me Love from 78.
