and if youre wanting to go even deeper, looks like significant albums also from Rita Lee, Secos & Molhados, Belchior, Raul Seixas, Eva, Gal Costa, Jards Macalé, Elza Soares, Novos Baianos

Probably will end up hearing a lot of those this year or in the coming months

RS put The Battle Of Epping Forest in their list of terrible songs on good albums knew that thing f***in sucked

They also put Silas Stingy and Bungalow Bill on there so I'm conflicted but at least Genesis got called out

ah it just goes back to your ol lyric obsession eh even with a song like that

i see that as a positive quality but i barely even hear the lyrics on that one. maybe my brain automatically just knows to tune them out

Good album. Doesn't touch Blood On The Tracks but dramatically better than his last handful. Can't imagine the relief his fans must have felt

He had been floundering artistically for several years while I guess he focused on his family. Screenwriter friend invited him to do some songs for Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid and he ended up making an all timer but with Knockin On Heaven's Door. David Geffen smelled money and threw his resources into getting Dylan and The Band together for a comeback album + tour. It panned out cause they took that momentum turned into the Rolling Thunder Revue which alot of Dylan heads consider the peak era (I think he was much better live from '65-'66 personally).

This album is pretty under appreciated. It’s one of my favorite discoveries this year. This is glam with all the ambition of prog. @RVI

Didn't know that 'billy the kid' tidbit might really have to get a hold of that book you were talking about the other day, but i don't wanna get too off topic.
