Doesn't quite have the Move magic though I'm afraid
I feel the opposite. Move didnt have a single song I liked.
@Elric you enjoying lamb lies down on broadway?
Yeah pretty good
still don't love Gabriel as a vocalist and they still manage to overstuff almost every arrangement but I see the appeal

This and CTTE are the peak of the genre
I can't think of what CTTE is
I've tried Fulfillingness several times over the years but still feel like I've never heard this dinger

Jackson 5 on backup vocals

Yes - Close to the Edge
I thought you, rvi and I all realized how good Wizard were at the same time
You ever listen to the first Primal Scream record. So underrated. They’re fusing The Jesus & Marychain, The Byrd’s, and Big Star perfectly. It does just as well what The Stone Roses and The La’s would do a few years later. It should get way more credit as a proto Britpop album.

Yes but not since the days of my Britpop thread on ktt1
I recall it having some gems

It’s due for a general reappraisal. Contemporary critics were so harsh on it. It deserves credit just for predating The Stone Roses.

should check out the Grateful Dead Movie though too
wasnt released til 1977 but documents the last shows before their hiatus in 1974 which are also amazing. and gives good feel for the scene

Strong ‘90s vibes

Midnight Special has the best performances
Look at what Sly and co. we’re up to just a couple months later

Strong ‘90s vibes
Yeah it’s ahead of its time by like 5 years. Teenage Fanclub were definitely pulling from it.
