maybe Dylan is my final boss
Got what I thought was a digital mono Elevators but it just sounds like mirrored stereo from my usual version. Slightly different mix
definitely not flooring me like the rekkid
I think Roger the Engineer had mono and stereo versions mixed notably differently on each side of the pond so 4 versions
some of these stereo versions are godawful and I been putting off getting mono ones till today.
Okay maybe it's not "jamming" but from the sound of the Blonde sessions he was basically doing the same thing the Dead do but with words instead of instruments. Slowly painting/building an expressionistic monument piece by piece until the cumulative effect whallops you.
He didn't tell the musicians what to do on Sad Eyed Lady or where they were going to end up it just flowed forth .
yeah i feel what you are saying but still a totally different side of the spectrum

Yin and Yang
Somebody better post this banger before Hendrix steals it

damn i never knew this
Honestly what a creature
His fingernails in '66
I think he was doing speed all day to keep the tour momentum going and heroin at night to finally crash and get some sleep. Definitely would have killed him if he didn't come up with that motorcycle crash excuse to get off the road for a couple years.
Look at these two
both of em rail thin with one foot in the grave that year
jesus Cash looks like he's about to drop like a fly
i swear im not trolling or baiting but i still dont understand your (and atl's) infatuation with this dylan live stuff
is it mainly just the vocal or what? and yeah i obviously love Band but still havent loved a single Dylan recording more than its studio version
probably already commented this same exact thing at one point so forgive me
Pull up on this fool @fuk_an_ad_lib

it's actually the opposite of the vocals, that's secondary unless he's performing solo songs.
it's kind of hard to put a finger on just one thing but the songs that they chose for the 66 tour are brought to life with such passion and that thin wild mercury energy which is so vibrant
and eventually if you get into Dylan as much as elric and me are the live stuff is just an add on to the studio versions...it's more of what you're feeling at the time. the solo sets, I agree with you that none of them top the studio versions but those are the calm before the storm.
the live sets are just so f***ing electric though
that's the stuff when you wanna geek the f*** out to the most potent jams know to man
kidding but yeah idk coltranes style too abstract for me usually
I agree but when he has a right balance like in the Africa song

btw I'm about through with No Direction Home for the first time in awhile...never realized how badly Dylan screwed over Baez during the 65 tour. he really seemed to have some regret there in the interview about it. wonder how many lyrics he penned about her between that and there reunion ten years later
here's another great bewk;

got that Lester Bangs in the mail yesterday
also copped these two since hitting another dylan binge
