As long as I can upload books I have downloaded online (ePub/pdf format among more) I am happy. Can someone point me to the best e-reader?

Also, how much memory would suffice for an e-reader?

    Dude get the Kindle Paperwhite

It’s incredible. You can easily load books you download onto it

Then it has the screen that projects the light down instead of into your eyes reducing eye strain

    Can read in the dark

    Pretty good battery

    Not too expensive

Although someone in this section prob knows a lot more than I do about e-readers

And if so, do you got Apple or Android

I got a Kindle paper white 3 second hand and it’s been f***ing amazing

Apparently as good as the paper white 4 and I f***ing love reading on it. I use calibre on my computer to convert books from ePub to MOBI and it syncs them with the Kindle automatically

    Battery is like 50 hours

Memory wise it has 4gb which is way more than I need. I have 30 books on there and it’s taking up like 1% of storage or less

Go on offerup.com and get a Nook Glow for like $20

    Then go on libgen.is

    You're set

If you don’t want to convert epubs (it’s incredibly easy) then a Kobo is your best bet probably the Clara HD

Basically it’s a computer program and you open your ePub and it converts it to MOBI (kindle format) and emails it to this Amazon address which will put it onto your kindle over the air

    It’s super easy

Perfect man, zlibrary even lets you download books in MOBI so no need to convert. How much was your paperwhite?

The Kindle Paperwhite is elite. It is the best e reader you can buy for the price. Avoid getting the cheap Kindle. It is not that good.

Imagine overpaying for even a used Kindle that reads proprietary files. Couldn't be me.

Less than a single book in some cases. Plus it reads EPUB so you don't need to convert into MOBI.

OfferUp, Ebay, Facebook Market, etc. Don't search "Nook Glowlight". Just search "Nook" because a lot of boomers are selling them without knowing it. Check the pics to figure out the model. Look at the silicone rim, the page change buttons, if the back is recessed etc.

What's the difference between Kindle 10 and those Paperwhite series ones?

  • Jan 1, 2021

    I use a Kobo Clara. 8GB. More than enough. I've got +100 books and I don't even think I've consumed 1GB. Crazy.
