    Dope, thats a great price

For brand new go audio Technica. You can get them from best buy, your local record store, or other audio places.

I always recommend getting something used though because you can get something a lot nicer for the same money. Look for a vintage Pioneer, Sony, Technics, marantz, and s*** like that in good shape.

    discogs.com/my

heres basically the premier place to buy records online op, theres a grading scale for the condition of record and the jacket itself.
Ebay you can come on steals sometimes as well but discogs is prob the best starting point.

and yeah I still use apple music of course, but nothing beats loading up an album on wax tbh

    So

    USB version?

depends on what you want, I got the usb one on sale for $99 so the same as the normal version. Do you care much about sampling/ripping the audio from a record or not really?

True but I'm over paying 20-40 for a blown up album cover and some liner notes you can find online.

$40 for something I actually wanna listen to is a steal if you ask me, I've paid hundreds for a single record before but that's really rare s***

Even worse when they frame sealed albums lmao

Literally killing the quality and value

i sometimes buy new albums on vinyl and i never open the packaging? they're tucked away next to my crt tv.

should i remove the plastic seal?

You can rip from your TT without USB too, you just gotta cop a pre amp and run it to your mic input on your computer, that's how I got it set up in my studio

Ideally you open it by slicing it on the side, so you keep the shrink wrap on and store the records outside the jacket.

Win-win: it’s still practically sealed and is mint for value, and it’s safe for the vinyl.

yes lol. Not only does that warp the record and the jacket, its wasteful to never play tbh.

People worry about value though, so the solution is to slice it open and leave shrink wrap on. Best of both worlds

that lp60 he is considering getting has a built in pre amp, you'd have to remove it to do that

Damn then you could just get an RCA to 3.5mm cable and do it, that's pretty nice

yeah people have done that for ages, usually just slice the ends, but you could also just place it in a cover

i dont see the point, honestly. i always told myself i'd buy a sick audio set up first before ever buying a record player. which i did (got some nice monitors + audio interface ) but once i got it i noticed i aint ever gonna be playing s*** off vinyl anyway
