I do wonder why has she been silent even more than reni but I keep going back to her self titled interview where shawty keeps reiterating she dont care about singles.
As much as I like this album I do think this will be her least popular album just cause:
1. Niggas dont f*** with country (the zeitgeist is just too powerful for folks to really make that mental switch out of “urban music”
2. This album is really really long lol. (Reddit tried to cope saying “it’s only 16 mins longer than reni” like that aint significant. This definitely needed trimming. Like…as cool as it is, dont think folks care for bey singing opera)
All that being said, godDAMN riverdance and 2nd half of sweet honey bucking are getting PLAYS at parties dawg

What’s hurting even more, at least for me, is the absence of televised performances. I know she’s placing her more and more like a luxury good, and I get it, she worked very hard for a long time and deserves her freedom and time with her family but during the Lemonade era we had performances at every big award show, and they were all stellar, while being at tour AT THE SAME TIME. Cowboy Carter desperately needed more engagement from her to sell the music/this genre to her fans, but it is what it is I guess.

Tbh the streams in the first few days were inflated due to the number of interludes they added to the album, people probably just don't listen to them anymore and that's why the average is down

like II most wanted got single treatment and they paid it dust, sent it to radio like 4 weeks late, no promo. tyrant had a moment on tik tok, nothing. II hands ii heaven had a whole viral tik tok dance, nothing. its like they learned from their mistakes with past eras during the renaissance era and then regressed during this one
and yes i know beyoncé has earned her stripes and doesn’t need to promo yada yada but there can be a balance between that and just radio silence

I think Beyoncé still thinks like the manufactured member of a girl group that she was in the 90s and hasn’t completely connected to the modern way of how celebrities communicate.
