LOL it was same situation with Renaissance. Viral videos for Alien Superstar were taken down, BMS went down quickly and nothing happened for weeks. Then the Cuff It dance became a viral sensation and „saved“ the whole era. I don’t think they’re gonna get lucky this time around though.

She also disappeared after Renaissance

The tour, almost a year later, was what kept the era alive.

I don’t think she will tour this album.

i think she realized that making a full blown country record without her more soul/R&B roots would’ve probably been too inaccessible. i think she dipped into the bag well and did it justice

i feel like she clarified it being a Beyonce album rather than full on country to put that whole “black roots” thing that was kinda tacked on to bed, it doesn’t really work as a selling point because people become commies when it comes to her + it boxes her in with regards to what features she can have and who she can collab with
