This album/era desperately needed something like this from her.

I’m sure she hoped for a conversation within the industry and immediate influence, which she certainly achieved looking at Shaboozey. Whether it’s gonna be some long lasting impact remains to be seen though. I’m super curious if this underperformance is gonna have some consequences for act III‘s rollout.

all of the songs that Parkwood/Colombia submitted to the Grammys for this album were either serviced as a single somewhere, or used promotionally somehow.
