LDa deeply personal song by Kanye and one of his best in so long wasn't even written by him at all?
Does the fact that someone else wrote it change the way the music sounds? Does it change the notes, the melodies, the percussion, the lyrics?

I won't speak for LD but I think a lot of people were kind of blown away at the lyrical ability expressed on Violent Crimes. That s*** was raw. It was from the heart. It cut deep and resonated.
Personally, I was relieved after questioning Kanye's ability to still pen a song of that caliber. Then it was revealed that he had basically no hand in writing it. Makes me question every line I've ever heard from him and whether that was a genuine expression from him or a song that someone handed to him on a pre-made platter.
