This s*** won't get legal with him it seems
smfh
Not even currently smoking weed either lmao, just did it in the past
Not ideal, the logic of firing is to prevent it being used as a thumbscrew for blackmail
Not even currently smoking weed either lmao, just did it in the past
HE wilding
This seems like pretty dubious reporting. If they were canning people just for past marijuana use, it would be a hell of a lot more than 5 people affected, including the Vice President. There are obviously other factors in play.
I don’t think they’re able to pass background checks if they admitted it tho. This affects federal staffers all the time not really a WH thing.
Some potions need secret and top secret clearances and you can’t have d**** on record to obtain it. Doesn’t matter where you smoked or took it either since it’s a federal job
Trash and unfortunate but idk if it was really in Biden’s hands like they’re claiming

I posted about this in the Politics thread. It's complete bullshit.
For one, Biden has 0 to do with them getting fired. It's a security clearance issue. Every media outlet is reporting it as if HE personally fired them because they don't know how getting a security clearance works.
When you are trying to get a job that requires a Top Secret security clearance you have to fill out an SF86 questionaire. Because you need to go through a background investigation

They ask about your jobs, where you lived, where you went to school, if you have any foreign contacts, and d*** use.
Plenty of people have smoked weed in the past and still get jobs that require a TS clearance, the big thing is that you be upfront about it.
If you tell them about it, all they ask is to sign something saying you won't do it again. If you don't tell the truth about it, and they find out that is WORSE than smoking weed in the past and you WILL not get the job
They make this pretty clear on the form

So what's the point of telling the truth if they'll just can you eventually
They should have done crack like his son
So what's the point of telling the truth if they'll just can you eventually
They wouldn't fire you for something you admitted to after giving you the job. The people reporting this aren't being 100% truthful.
Entire point of the form and the background check is 'can we trust you' cus you may have access to sensitive material.
That's why lying about it or not telling the truth is actually worse than just admitting it, cus you already establishing you can't be trusted

The press Secretary herself said it involved marijuana use
