As a result of this conversation, the Governor has requested assistance from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health and Emergency Response Team, and the CDC to provide on-the-ground assistance in East Palestine," DeWine's office said in a statement on Thursday.
However, the statement went on to note that FEMA has advised DeWine that "Ohio is not eligible for assistance at this time."

I think we are somewhere in the middle between completely safe and Chernobyl for a 60 mile radius. People acting like this is the complete end of the world are just fear mongering. It's a disaster, its not a conspiracy.

My point is they have done absolutely nothing but downplay it, the least Biden could do is not be in Ukraine throwing billions of dollars at a corrupt irrelevant country instead of helping the country he actually “runs”. Maybe Trump s*** is just theater and it was all planned, but it’s still more than the administration is doing, which should be at the very least concerning if not a wake up call.

Have to assume it’s a tug of war game with the Biden administration not wanting to be one upped by Rs and Vice-versa. I don’t buy into the narrative Biden’s admin was ignoring it as much as they simply didn’t do a good job handling it; once other politicians get involved it becomes a tug of war for publicity. In terms of visiting there, it’s very smart on Trump’s end though

Problem is Trump isn’t the president, and Biden shouldn’t be persuaded to actually do something just to not be made to look weak by Trump, although that is what he’s doing. If it had been handled correctly and promptly instead of doing damage control for corporations and lobbyists they wouldn’t have to worry about any tug of war.
