Why is simply having a border wall somehow a continuation of an assault on immigrants? Overall sure I agree there's some f***ed up things happening to these people, but how does a physical border somehow feed into this? Is a wall inherently racist or abusive? The construction was already in contract and essentially paid for under Trump, so they are working on ways to legally divest from that.
This is in the news because the 60 days were up at the end of March and now there are discussions and speculation about what will happen going forward.
