Why
Apparently it's to "combat terrorism"
But I'm sure the large amount of natural resources the country has, has nothing to do with it
This is what they voted for.. this is what they tried to get the rest of us to vote for..
Why
They are already there, Trump was gonna take them out but Biden is just telling them to stay
America don't be imperialist for 5 minutes challenge
Imperialist for collaborated with these countries governments to fight terrorism?

“The UK was not imperialist because it collaborated with the Raj to suppress separatist forces”
To act like the US is there with good “democratic” intentions and not for the agenda of its corporate body is ludicrous. This is an investment that they want return on, and any safety or improved conditions are a byproduct of it

That's a little different, the Raj was a vassal of the British Empire. Somalia's government is just the government of Somalia. I'm not saying the US is never imperialistic, but the US just doing things overseas is not imperialistic.
It has nothing to do with "corporate body" whatever that means. The intervention in Somalia is being done by a coalition of nations across the world for the basic strategic goal of combating terrorism. It's a no brainer for countries to take low hanging fruit like this.
Like I said, there are controversial interventions, this ain't one of them.

Historically, what other interventions haven’t been controversial ?
