I could honestly see Kamala using Biden as a figurehead in a similar way if anything were to happen.

On top of that, we’re currently in a very precarious spot with geopolitics given the war and Biden’s attempts to secure oil from questionable sources in recent weeks. Soft power is very real and I could see the death of an American president provoking international strategy in ways I can’t fully expect, but a leadership vacuum and internal mourning seems like it’d send some sort of signal to those who want to take the chance to usurp our power.
