Was one of the times when I really lost respect for Ye
Like cmon dawg out of all ppl to legitimately s*** on, Sean?
Dude did nothing but show love
That’s why I’m hopeful for this album gave this nigga reason to go hard, something else to rap about
You should think about why Tyler survived the movement…
Tyler has always been supremely talented and has a cult of personality which is a huge aspect of longevity and keeping his original base in for the ride.
His maturity also started catching up to his talent, which was huge for him.
Also very sharp product man. Camp Flognaw to the Golf brand. Within LA, he’s staple. Kinda a continuation of Pharrell lane (not saying he’s Pharrell) but he grew up with us who loved Pharrell and skating and Supreme when we were kids.
While I'm at it, I will say for a website to be named after Kanye, the picking apart of his early cringe bars is so stupid lol every pop rapper has those lines but people just chose to highlight his lines. Hate that trend for him. F*** that. My nigga can spit.
The biggest victim of disingenuous typecasting in rap fr

Completely missing the point
Does he have cringe bars to present day? Sure but they're not nearly as prevalent and the point was that people choose to highlight those cringe lines and ignore how great of an MC is. I don't even need to go through Drake or Ye's catalogue you already know what it is, but for some reason we hang onto Sean's bad lines lol
My nigga ye deadass in 2024 said he couldn't be antisemetic because he just f***ed a jewish b**** b but he don't trend for lines like that, just Sean lol
They make jokes about Sean's lines as if he's not an insane lyricist
It's too barbershop-adjacent
Yeah he should bait the LGBT community like Tyler
Was listening to Big Sean and Logic albums on my way to work a couple of months ago and that s*** was hitting Sometimes you need some mid to cleanse your palette, so I'm in for this
his fanbase will skew older because a lot of the people who checked out his early mixtapes are in their 30s now
typically those people will not be posting online about their fave artists but you can see his shows are sold out and his albums sell. Idk what that poster is going on about Detroit 2, a gold album during COVID is great
Taking 2 years to go gold really isn't s*** when other niggas, that Sean is supposedly just a tier below, are going platinum in a few months
I don’t always loved his music but you can always depend on Big Sean for a solid project
I think this could be great

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtEYuNIxH2oThat mentality ruined him more than it ruined Cole tbf, and ye was never a rapper like Sean was, idk I kinda wanted him to cleanse himself like he did but his output ain't as prolific, that feature with alc was super flames too
Knew it was over for Sean when he put out that EP with Hit Boy and niggas did not give af and it was really good.
Nothing has been the same for him since that Double or Nothing album with Metro, which was wayyy overhated to me.
Nevertheless, he has a legendary back catalogue so his name will always ring off, he'll always be able to tour, do festivals, the whole nine but he's done commercially and even he knows it that's why he's been so scared to drop.
And I say this as a low-key diehard Stan of his
Tbh, hit-boy wasn’t really hittin on that EP.
