Teyena Taylor fans tried to do the same thing like she didn't flop with Pharrell and Kanye pick her up regardless too.
Alot of these artist woulda just faded off or were on they second chances when they got on Good.

I Decided is a album with almost zero contribution from Ye and to me is the best thing that Sean ever dropped but y'all are not ready for this conversation.
The same thing happened to Cudi in INDICUD. He dropped Good Music and made the best productions ever made by himself solo. But once again: y'all are not ready for this conversation too.

The problem is they actually lean into this narrative themselves as artist and flop doing so
People tell them Ye should be doing more and they believe it. I think Teyana style should be more Mary J early 90s rap/r&b fusion. It matches her brand. Instead she does pure r&b. Tries to be Lauryn Hill which doesn’t match why a lot of people like her in the first place.
Big Sean best s*** since Dark Sky is twentytwo88. Most people want another one of those from him. Everything else has flopped and his past two solo rollouts he leaned on the good music issues thinking that matters and flopped.

I shouldn't say "killed the thing" because it did OK commercially but for an album with features like that and instrumentals like that it could have been an absolute classic.
