Idk about formula but his problem has always been that his albums aren't interesting enough to hold peoples attention and make them return. This album suffers from the same thing. It's not bad but not that good either. DSP is still his best

The Darkest AngelThat just means 3.4k copies a day. Not bad by any means. It's 2024 let's stop comparing Sean to the big 3 or the other A-listers. First and foremost it was a great album. Secondly he's not chasing hits. And third no one was comparing Nas numbers to GKMC or NWTS back in 2013. His place is solidified and he's doing what he wants now. That's all he can and should be doing rn. If he was aiming to do big numbers by chasing hits and missing like Rocky I could see the hate being warranted
