Not my point, my point is that it is not a scummy move, it's just the way he operates when making an album and it's a pretty reasonable way to work when you have this many collaborators

Ye can like the verse and scrap it anyway (think Cyhi on FSMH), he scrapped Cudi and Pusha too from Donda but I don't think they took it personal and they have no reason to.

As far as i'm concerned Soulja is just doing a stunt since his album is dropping the same day as Drake and he needs media coverage (he even retweeted people talking down on CLB)

they work with him constantly, both signed to him at one point, and make the cut on most his albums. they’re used to it.

someone like Soulja has never been on a Kanye album & rarely works with him, so when he’s offered a feature spot, it’s much more insulting to remove his verse, especially when there’s insufficient communication with him before then. i’m p sure Kanye’s physically been with Push & Cudi during this album-making process, so he could’ve told them “your verses aren’t making the album”.

Kanye’s whole work process is scummy for the people who aren’t physically there with him, no matter how well-known that process is.

You're not wrong. I mean in the leaked texts Ye asked like 3 times to come to the studio physically, that probably would've changed the fate of his verse

I think Cudi is an exception because I doubt they've been physically in the studio together recently (same thing for Jay, IIRC he just sent the verse to Ye)
