TheEagleForeverI’m a drake fan to the death, I think what he’s done is remarkable not just musically but culturally and morally.
The only issue I’ve ever seen him deal with as an artist is his relationship and communication with his fans. I think there’s an aspect of it which is played well (you don’t want to be too close) but there’s also an aspect of it where he notoriously leaves us in the dark. For large amounts of time after stating something and not following what he’s said. But then he will clear up random rumors on his IG story?? It seems backwards to me.
I think this rollout is the one where I’m over the whole lack of communication etc after giving a time. Hope he proves me wrong

Somewhat agree with you, but Drake is probably the best or one of the best when it comes to delivering music. In the sense that like Playboi Carti has been talking about WLR forever, Trav talked about Astro forever, Kanye has been all over the place with a lot of albums.

Don’t think there’s outright beef but they are certainly not buddy buddy. It’s hard to be when everyone puts you against each other plus you’re fighting for the top spot

Agreed. Can’t ever complain about not getting any sort of music. Whether it’s feats, loosies, care packages in between albums we eat good. I like that he keeps us guessing but he’s nowhere near the Frank Oceans, Cartis etc. I can’t complain tbh.

I mentioned this to my friend the other day but he said why isn’t Kendrick your number 1?
Because he can’t be. You can’t win a game you don’t play. Drake comes with content year in and year out at such a high quality and consistency. You can’t really compare the 2.
Yes, if Kendrick actually stuck in the game and the output was remotely closer, he’d most likely be my number 1 in terms of rap.
And people will say oh he doesn’t rush blah blah, but let’s be real, an artist should be releasing music every year even if it’s not a project.
