Why Rihanna? No shade just asking lol.

She had girls wearing wigs and cutting their hair off to imitate her lol. I think that's huge actually. I think at this moment, between the three it just might be Rihanna If this was say 5 years ago, Beyonce. Never has it been Drake

I would have said B. But she's not really "out" enough for me to pick her. And all her recent larger than life moments are from performances.

I think the things Rih does outside of music (makeup, lingerie, fashion shows) are cultural staples.

And Drake is everywhere but his relevance is brightest in hiphop culture. If he had a Kanye like impact outside of rap, I would chose him.

I thought Bey was big outside the US. The US only makes up half her sales. Same for Rihanna

Beyoncé by far and i don't particularly like her,

it's all b****es talk about on twitter

    Yes absolutely.

Terrible take. The Beatles, Aretha, and Stevie Wonder are icons and not relevant for fashion

Also you’re probably talking maybe some type of icon status outside of music. This thread is just trash because everyone is clearly on all type of different pages and using their own measurements and checklists

lol you’re stupid. compared to the other two drake is clearly irrelevant globally. if an icon is a tier 1 artist popularity wise, drake is probably tier 5 somewhere with bts

What measurement are you using? I’d like to know seeing as Drake has had hits in Europe, Latin America, Oceania, and Asia in addition to being crowned the most successful artist globally various years for him to be “irrelevant” globally

You weirdos for some reason think your personal experience dictates the entire world and ignore all statistics and tangible evidence

Drake can still walk by the street in a lot of countries in the world and go relatively unnoticed, Rihanna and Beyonce are recognized all round the world. Drake isn't that big of an Icon outside USA, Canada and English Speaking countries in Europe

Wrong af. I'm from MĂ©xico and Drake is HUGE in all hispanic countries.

Drake was seen as a lame until 2015 when he rebranded. Even now, people clown him all the time for dorky s*** he does. He brings us hits and we appreciate him for that, but being an icon is something else. Compare him to, like, Marvin Gaye, David Bowie, Prince, MJ, even Kanye...it just doesn't work.

Beyonce has a cult of her own and it's big enough to be mainstream. We make fun of Papi's Angels on here but the Beyhive comes up all the time in the press. The love she gets is on a whole different level and she's got a larger than life mystique now because, yeah, she's an icon.

Rihanna has become more appreciated the less active she's been. Crazy prolific at her peak and a great hitmaker. Maybe not as iconic as Beyonce but important all the same. 2006-2016 would have felt totally different without her.

You talking about the same man that Adele, BIGGEST artist in the wolrd wanted to collab with?. Everybody loves Drake, specially white people and girls. Only edgelords, hipsters and hiphop heads dont like him.

Rihanna and Beyonce already achieved a spot on the "legendary" book but thinking Drake is not part of it too is just naive.

10 years ago it would be Beyoncé but now we are living in the age of drake

The only right answer. People think that new generations dont count lmao.

The other day i was talking music with my lil sister (10 y/o) and she didnt know who Ri or Bey was. Meanwhile all her friends and her bump IMF and toosie slide.

If this was 2010 Bey probably be the answer but as of now, Drake is a bigger Icon than them.

where in europe outside of the uk? where in asia?

  • Jul 2, 2020

I think its gotta be B. She's been relevant the longest, part of a famous power couple, been in movies, crazy huge fanbase, and had a couple super bowl performances.

the simplest way to look at it is how many average people strive to be like drake, and how many strive to be like beyonce?

He has #1 hits in Germany, France, Netherlands, Ireland, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Denmark, and Belgium.

Did you even bother to do ANY research before just saying s***? Wtf is your definition of “listening to an artist”

“They don’t listen to him in countries he has reached #1 in”

  • Rihanna hasn't dropped an album in 5 years and is still just as relevant.

    You are clearly mentally slow.

    UK - 67 million population
    Germany - 83 million
    France - 67 million
    Italy - 60 million
    Netherlands - 17 million
    Belgium - 12 million
    Sweden - 10 million
    Switzerland - 9 million
    Denmark - 6 million
    Norway - 5 million
    Ireland - 5 million

= almost 350 million. That’s not 20% of Europe, and even in other European countries I didn’t list he has multiple hits.

Now also explain why the last time Beyonce & Rihanna released albums, Drake was the bigger artist globally that year, despite him being “irrelevant globally” according to you
