You talking about the same man that Adele, BIGGEST artist in the wolrd wanted to collab with?. Everybody loves Drake, specially white people and girls. Only edgelords, hipsters and hiphop heads dont like him.

Rihanna and Beyonce already achieved a spot on the "legendary" book but thinking Drake is not part of it too is just naive.

Legend and icon are two different things. There are many, many legendary producers who are not icons. Being an icon can be as much about image and mystique as anything.

Fam, Drake been on ICON status for at least the last 5 years. He birthed a whole new music genre and a generation of artists.

He has plenty hits but Hotline Bling and IMF put him on another level. Everybody and their mothers blasted those songs and made the challenge, it was a global cultural thing.

To this day the memes out of those 2 songs are still fresh af and widely used. And this is all just social talk, if we look at the numbers he definitely a legend and icon, not only in hiphop or music but in general.

We take Drake for granted because he is just there doing his thing but we watching the run of one of the greatest artists of all time.

Nah fam, reality is that Drake has plenty haters that try to minimize his impact.

The title could have been "Thug, Drake, Dababy" and i bet yall the same dudes that dismissed Drake would do it again.

Hate is not an exclusive Drake thing tho. Kendrick gets the same treatment sometimes, the "good" guys cant win.

Whats an ICON? whats a legend? and why beyonce and ri can be one but the boy that has broken all records, has the most sales and has been viral plenty and a cultural shift, cant? . Some dude even claimed he wasnt big outside usa and some european countries, like did you know Latin America and Africa?

Beyonce is way more famous than Drake globally.

I'm from a city full of immigrants and people born overseas. Even people outside America who don't f*** with Bey's music knows exactly who she is and she's been around for a long time.

Drake is still not particularly famous outside North America and Western Europe.

Plus, Bey has greater touring numbers.

Drake is still a streaming and hitmaking Juggernaut but I still would put Bey over him as an icon.

I remember on Reddit there were foreigners saying that Travis Scott of all people was on a similar level of popularity as Drake overseas.

I'm not saying that they're right or anything but there's no way anyone would argue if Beyonce or Travis f***ing Scott was more popular overseas lol.

    For real.

Beyonce has been famous for so long, it's almost crazy.

Like I remember watching an episode of Last Comic Standing from back in like 2006 where an older White woman was making a joke calling herself Beyonce and calling her husband "Lay-Z".

And the whole crowd cracked up.

Not to mention she was damn near the face of Destiny's Child.

She's the highest grossing Black touring act ever.

And her Beychella performance is still praised and talked about today.

That said, Rihanna is no slouch when it comes to her hitmaking ability and Fenty brand.
