In a now deleted tweet by label shill, Ahmed AKA "Big Business" - BigX explains on an interview with NYT that he's not just a hip-hop artist and that Country artists put more into the music than hip-hop

BIGXTHAPLUG Artistic, because in my head, whatever I do, I want to be the best at it. And so I feel like I’m not just a hip-hop artist — I want to be the best artist in the world. The only way I can do that is if I can show that I can do something other than rap. Hip-hop and country music both have the same base, which is storytelling. With that being said, country is still different. They put a lot more into it. It’s a love-hate relationship. I love the fact that they put so much into it, but I hate the fact that the process is so long. I’ve never, ever spent that long on a project.

CARAMANICA Is that because of the different production and writing approaches of the Nashville people?

BIGXTHAPLUG They go all the way to the cadence. “Record this again, record this again.” I’ve watched Post Malone sit in a booth just trying to find his cadence for 30 minutes. So I’m like, OK, that’s cool, but I got places to be. But I love that they care about the story. I love rap, but I feel like that’s what it has been missing.

It sucks that we get this from rappers that are the ones with the best shot at being crossover / mainstream successes

Why can’t we just have a wave of rappers that love rap? I know everything is a crossover and genre blending and all but it’s kinda disheartening

there’s a deeper conversation to be had here as to why niggas is more willing to heed repetitive direction to perfection from instead of they immediate circles which leads to quotes like this

these musicians cant say s*** about their process without ten thousand random people on their head dissecting a randomly worded remark like its scripture

He's not different than 99% of the mainstream "rappers" at least he's honest about it
Y'all let a lot of "rappers" who don't care about the art form get away with making Pop and calling it Rap as long as they put up numbers so now reap what you sow
