I know tons of fat people that don't look disgusting lol this s*** look like a mucinex commercial
Hate how much people disrespect hip-hop. Like it ain’t art. Like it ain’t the greatest genre in the world.
Its goated but we gotta get a lot of this trash lazy niggas out
Lazy ass rappers be treating punching in your triplets and punchlines over a beat that SOMEONE ELSE MADE is the cream of the crop of the genre
then they go get mad that the genre is too easy or it lacks effort or whatever
I tried to sign up to read the article in full but they said I used up my free article or some s***
Idk if I end up rereading that s*** and having a change of opinion I’ll come back and speak on it
archive.is f*** these journalist morons they should get a real job or shut up
Meoldyne, AutoTune, RipX & Rx11 exist - mic emulators even exist now in the last 3 years, and this isn't even mentioning traditional improvement methods like layering and splicing takes (that are usually also used in conjunction with one or more of the options above)
It is not as difficult or meticulous as you're making it out
Now there are people that want moreso natural takes, or try to get it as real as possible before the background work, but the options are there and are used - especially by the more average or just bad singers or people that don't care
People that don't care or aren't skilled exist more in spades than the opposite, in all genres, and we've been at a point for many years that they can get away with at least a decent sound if you have an actual engineer
Trash/lazy to decent/average music and artists exist in all genres and are more prevalent than those that "actually care" and are actually skilled
All genres operate with the same clean up tools, sound tricks and vocal improvements
People that act like this only exists in Rap like BigX is just simply ignorant
Now, there are genres that have more self "regulation", gate keeping and "morals" for themselves (artists to audience to media) that most of them operate within and exercise of those they push, champion and support, but that's a different story and topic

You’re right
Yea I thought he was kinda cool at first and had potential but the country pivot is so corny I can’t listen to him. Now that rap isn’t the dominant genre we are gonna see who’s real and who was just chasing a bag
Why doesn’t he try to be the best at hip hop first
lol This is the M.O. for many people nowadays, even regular folk.
“Lemme try and be GREAT at EVERYTHING!”
By averages they wash out and end up not being even decent at anything…

i mean…didn’t the genre start by rapping over other people’s songs? It’s not that it’s too easy, we just live in an age of mediocrity everywhere in entertainment. making hiphop was never meant to be difficult, at least from my understanding

The point is that people in the 1980’s weren’t complaining that the genre was too easy when they weren’t even doing half the work
