    I don't care if music I wouldn't personally listen to is popular..but its kinda crazy how only a few of these artists have ever really seemed to do anything creative or musically progressive in their popular songs.

    true but at the start of the decade she was very huge. teenage dream had like 5 number 1 hits and then she had dark horse and roar etc
