GooHis talent ain't as certified as MJ's imo lol not even close.
A lot of people (especially white and generally non US people) are pretty oblivious to his musical talent.
MJ's talent was undeniable bc he could sing and dance. Like even the biggest idiot in the world could tell you MJ was talented af. Ye's catalog has a lot of songs that can be perceived as silly overtly sexual songs, plus hip hop just ain't as respected in general I guess.
Maybe not universally recognized as talented but MJ had waaaayy wilder things going on in his life than Kanye and his reputation is still for the most part in tact. Guarantee when Kanye dies he will be hailed as one of the greatest ever in rap. Obviously, no rapper will ever get love like MJ/Beatles etc.. but Kanye will come pretty close. If guys like XXXtentacion and Juiceworld are basically being branded legends by this current generation after their death just imagine Kanye lol He's also like 45 or w.e nobody judges artist or athletes off their post prime years lol

Aug 6, 2020GooYeah but back in the day his music was more popping to counter it, critics were on his side too and even Obama couldn't deny his heat. He was basically seen as a questionable figure who makes dope ass music. It was way easier to defend/rationalize his character back then too.
Idk I consume a lot of content and the general consensus rn is he’s brilliant musically but his antics are very off putting
Haven’t seen someone put out a take that he’s not musically talented that would be very far in between and I don’t think anyone who knows or follows music would take that person seriously

Obviously he'll leave a far greater legacy than Tentacuin and Juice. Their music was more popping than Ye's was when they died and kids went crazy over them but they'll also be forgotten in a few years.
Ye will be remembered but just imagine what if he kept his image clean and strictly kept it about making dope music, with little controversy. He would be seen as a "black Beatle" just like he wanted to.
