    Hi-C

I mean yeah but I think you could easily say the same about 50 and Dre.

No way does Dre find 50 without Em.

Same thing with Suge tbh, I promise you without Dre, he isn’t finding half those niggas

Suge was a better executive producer than Birdman

Out of 6 shots he scored 5 classics. Only 1 miss (Tha Doggfather)

Maybe it should be Dame vs. Suge for best A&R/exec producer

dam this is very hard to answer. but it has to be suge because he was giving niggas aids

  • Suge

  • Hi-C

I mean talent wise yes, but influence?

Birdman got Wayne, Nicki, Drake Thug.

Those 4 probably the biggest and most influential of all of the current rappers

    Gudda Gudda too

Suge and Diddy on another level. Suge might've had a hand in killing 3 icons and Diddy changed the game, had Jay Z trying to be like him in the late 90s.

Nah don’t get it twisted lol, I know better. I just think it’s a bit harder to see the direct connections.

Trust me, I think all of those artists are better. But influence doesn’t always equate to talent. That’s just how I see it.

If that were the case, Lupe Fiasco would have a lot more niggas doing it like him cause he’s one of the best to ever spit

Rap before and after Dr. Dre is a completely different genre. Like night and day. In terms of impact and influence, nobody bigger/more important than Dre. He literally changed the sound of an entire genre. Snoop the first rapper to truly explode and put up numbers current KTT would be proud of. BIG, Jay, Puff, Nas etc..they all wanted to sell records like Snoop. And Pac is Pac, don't even need to go too far into him, everyone wants to be Pac..to this day.

Wayne is the most influential of the past 15 years(along with Ye) but not close to what those 3 did. He just had a cool style others went on to imitate. Snoop, Pac and especially Dre literally changed a genre.

I like to play devil’s advocate a lot but I appreciate you actually coming through with good discussion

I agree, I think Dre easily one of the most pivotal people in rap. Him and Ye and Hov really did a lot to change the landscape imo. I think Dre easily has the most influence though of any person in hip hop. Like it’s not even close imo

  • Pac influenced one of the biggest rappers out right now, Kendrick

    Diddy

Better executive producer and probably the best A&R when it comes to albums
Suge didnt do s***. Birdman is up there tho.

    Diddy
    Birdman
    Suge

how many people ITT actually lived and remember Death Row?

because if you did, you would realize the answer is Suge

  • May 30, 2021

Lol this song tells you the answer

Suge and Puff changed hip hop forever
