You got stats to back that up?
i don't think there's going to be stats on either side that people would be comfortable accepting because nobody is mass polling the american public on if they would or wouldn't date a bisexual dude
only thing we have is anecdotes and societal inferences
You got stats to back that up?
In a survey of over 1,000 women, conducted by Glamour in 2016, 63% of women said they wouldn’t date a man who’s had s***with another man
this is great when talking about how things should be but this isn't how things are
homophobia doesn't just disappear because you say "well these girls are on fresh and fit so who cares lol"
Y’all gotta stop thinking ur circle is indicative of the entire country.
It’s like if you hang with a bunch of non religious or athiest people and try and argue that that’s the prevailing belief system of the country because that’s who you’re personally around
Unfortunately the women on this fresh and fit podcast are like most women. Open-minded women like that are a small percentage of the population. Just giving you the facts.
Unequivocally false.
‘Most women’ arguments negate what you mean because there is no way to make that sweeping generalisation and treat women like a monolith and still maintain your point
‘Open minded women are a small percentage’
What goes through your mind when you make such broad estimations and pass them off as fact. The 3 women you’ve known irl do not make up the entire population.

Burying your head in the sand amongst bigotry is not the way to live your life as a bisexual man or any marginalised group of people
but at some point you gotta leave stupid closed-minded people to their own devices, especially when they're insignificant like the people this thread is about, there's so many great open-minded people out there to interact and have fun with that concerning yourself with trying to change someone who appears on Fresh & Fit or that you might be physically attracted to is a pointless endeavour
in real life its different and if there's someone who you connect with on a deeper level and they have a dumbass belief like this it can be annoying but that would likely require it being a blind spot in their thinking that you can work through, not wholly bad vibes people like the Fresh & Fit guys who are atrocious across the board

i'm not concerned with anything you said about trying to change people
but acting like this opinion is only limited to miami girls on fresh and fit is disconnected with reality, so saying "lol fresh and fit" doesn't do anything other than get you your points for dunking on fresh and fit

Think you cited the wrong link my friend.
That one talks about a study from Adam And Eve. And never said women but people
a new study of 1000 people over 18, conducted by intimate toy website Adam & Eve (so we can assume they were not working with a particularly conservative group of subjects), has found that 47 percent of respondents had no intention of ever dating a bisexual person, while 35 percent said they were open to it and 19 percent said they were undecided. Within the study, 39 percent of men said they were open to dating a bisexual person, while 31 percent of women said they were; 15 percent of men versus 23 percent of women were unsure. (They didn't ask respondents to give their sexual orientation.)
Now I did find your 63% in another link bi.org/en/articles/bi-men-are-not-considered-attractive-new-study-says and yeah, disappointing to see.
What I have to ask how does this invalidate my earlier point of choosing not to associate myself with those type of ppl. Especially when my 1st post in this whole thread acknowledged the double standards that men go through involving our sexuality.
is there a double standard against bisexual men? Absolutely. It’s a standard against cishet men that wanna explore their sexuality. I don’t need a 45 minute video of a problematic and toxic podcast to tell me that.
Me choosing to not deal with that type of thought doesn’t mean I actively live in a bubble ignoring s***.
Y’all gotta stop thinking ur circle is indicative of the entire country.

No one ever said this though.
I think 95% of people itt would agree that the majority of opinions that this country holds are stupid and idiotic and mad prehistoric.
B**** in the vid said pegging is gay, I’m not actively socializing with the people within the generation of this country that were clearly victims of the No Child Left Behind program are being given platforms.

It’s fine if you choose not to associate with people like that.
The problem is when you chalk this topic up to being an opinion that only bird brain b****es that would go on fresh and fit hold and try to paint it as the minority opinion.
And I say you live in a bubble because in one of your comments you imply that there are more poc that disagree with this than agree with it and that’s just not true bruh.
It actually does more harm to pretend it’s a niche opinion. Like of course artists in NYC aren’t gonna have the same social beliefs as your average man or woman

I mean I thought mentioning “living in nyc” implied that
Of course I’m not expecting this in goddamn Florida or Nebraska or Oklahoma.
fresh and fit…yeah im out

It’s not even true in NYC. It’s true in your particular circle in nyc. If you surveyed most NYC women and asked them if they would date a bisexual man most would say no.
That number would be even higher in the Bible Belt type states.
Like you gotta understand alot of people just got out of their homophobic bag and into their “Idc if you’re gay just keep it away from me” bag in the last 5 years.
There’s still a ton of progress to be made when it comes to lgbt and gender s***. Especially in lower income or middle class areas where they are more socially conservative

my wider circle of people is not the whole world but people irl are often more understanding than this suggests, you can find backwards people everywhere but I don't think everyone you meet is crazy bigoted when most people don't even think about these types of discussions
regular people might be slightly taken aback because it's not so commonly seen as bisexual women but even then I think most regular people around our age and with similar interests/beliefs would be easily convinced and be fine with it
when its family members or co-workers or other people in your life they will likely be more bigoted towards these types of things and you should challenge them about it if it doesnt negatively affect your mental health doing so, but Fresh & Fit is in a completely different sphere to reality unless you have loser family members or co-workers
this is far from a "lol fresh and fit" point, I don't watch, engage, or talk about them in any way besides disregarding them not on a comedic basis but because they are not worth my time or energy

i'm happy your lived experience goes against what we're all saying but homophobia is not gone
men will moan anywhere but the bedroom lmao

Once again, do you have stats for that.
Stating Nyc explicitly =\= new york state. I know how they give it up upstate I went to college there.
I’m saying attitudes in an area where you’re more likely to come in contact with LGBTQIA people (think nyc has one of the highest number of residents in this country) are gonna be more likely than not of a progressive stance than those from a bible belt.
Bi men are almost certainly involved in queer culture to a fault and we're not living a double life just for being dynamic and honest about our sexuality.
You ARE part of the problem and if you had any respect for what you just said, you'd f*** off and go back to being a little queer chaser b**** that wants every gay man to go "YASS QWEEEN SLAY" like we're just quip buttons for emotionally unstable women to push.
You really mad that there are users on this forum that don’t care about a show that literally goes out of its way to pick up the lowest common denominator of said demographic to make a fool out of themselves?
Is there a double standard against bisexual men? Absolutely. It’s a standard against cishet men that wanna explore their sexuality. I don’t need a 45 minute video of a problematic and toxic podcast to tell me that.
Toxic masculinity is a b****. Especially when we’ve worked under that for so long it programs everyone from men to women to expect men to just act a certain way. Women are allowed to experiment cause “that’s just what b****es do” and bisexual women are fetishized more than ever but a nigga decides out lf curiosity to wonder how a d*** in the mouth feel it’s “oh that nigga gay.”
Shoutout to the epic failure of the Bush (sr) administration during the AIDS epidemic, leading to the current misconceptions about men that “if they DL or bi, they automatically passing along diseases.”
But I can say all this without giving Fresh & Fit a goddamn view count. Sorry if that gets you mad enough to block me.
Good strawman my guy. You really got it
Good strawman my guy. You really got it
Fam you were liking my posts all itt man dont change up the energy now
i'm happy your lived experience goes against what we're all saying but homophobia is not gone
you're actually bi right?
we all already know how some straight women can be, but could u shed some light on whether it's ever been the same for you with women of other sexualities?
It’s crazy cause @op has no words for @BIGGWAVE that actually contributed NOTHING to the topic but insults at @americana

anybody who be outside or on social media knows.
