Get rich or die trying by alot
I love both tho but two compare the black album to get rich or die trying isn't fair to the black album isn’t fair
Get die trying has a way bigger impact on the culture till this day
Black Album is a bit more consistent but GRODT is just one of those albums that gets better with time tbh.
I remember during my phase of listening to Wayne/Lupe/Kanye over everyone else in the late 2000s, I used to view the album as slightly dated.
But, over time, I've been able to listen to the album without skipping and enjoying it so much.
Even B Side songs like "High All The Time" just get me pumped up and are perfect for the gym or the whip.
Black Album is a classic too though.

If you listened to GRODT when during it debut & impact year its befpre all those guys mentioned besides Wayne but Wayne was still "old school wayne" on the mannie fresh and gang sound heavy still
Carter 2 aint even happened yet where Wayne got a bit more cleaned up & luxurified into his peak years
GRODT is 2003 which is crazy to think about & I think a lot of people forget how early it dropped in the 2000s

Well, Nelly and 50 Cent were technically my gateways to hip hop.
But, as a kid(born in 96), I only listened to GRODT and 50 in general as a "casual" back then.
Wayne, Kanye, and Lupe were the first rappers I listened to extensively and they made me a hip hop head who explored the whole genre.
I went back and listened to 50's music more extensively over time and was blown away by how underrated his music/mixtapes are.
