Not a lot of artists out there doing it like this… give them their roses before its too late
@Unwound
Oh s***, a new album?! I'll listen to it in a minute but how does it compare to their debut?

imagine its their most arcade fire inspired project yet...
personally, i like this second album more than the first...
FTFT had so much angst and anxiety on it... this one feels a lot more mature and beautiful

Only on track 5 but I can definitely see what you mean with the AF parallel. It's mindblowingly beautiful so far

I love them both but they might have dropped their magnum opus with this one. Both albums are a fascinatingly intimate depiction of Isaac's inner turmoil but while for the first time felt like a panic-fueled claustrophobic mess this one is much more ornate and artful. I think what allows this album to be more sonically gorgeous is Isaac's personal growth. The vulnerability in his tone is still there but rather than being driven by self-loathing he's more of a hopeless romantic on this one. I'd say unlike their debut this album allows you to find comfort in its melancholy. There's so much beauty and warmth in this, it's unlikely that we'll experience anything quite like this for the rest of the year.

good will hunting
my only criticism is that i would have preferred if they didnt release as much singles, but they probably needed the money
i almost feel like i want to skip past the first three songs (not including the intro) on account of the fact i have already listened to these tracks hundreds of times
