you could build a war, but we transcend borders
"SWAMP" is honoring the spirit of the maroon — those who chose life in the damnable swamps, rather than weather the abuses of the plantation. I began to think about what this position, resistance and way of life looks like in our digital age.
RIP Neely Fuller i remember watching videos featuring his discours a decade ago at the advent of my radicalization lol
Happy Black History Month!
We can’t let the whites take the focus away from us
No unfortunately. I just came into the knowledge of Soulaan/Soulani from TikTok about a couple months ago. But I have found this of the Black American diaspora

I don't know if I agree with all of it especially when it comes to the respectability politics sector. In The Boondocks he even makes fun of respectability politics in later scenes through Bill Cosby saying "pull up your pants" "don't call each other nigga" type thing. but Mcgruder was a great orator and would definitely love his voice in current day politics.

Yes he is. And being I his early 20s at the time was incredible. The high school and college class steer the culture and we need more conscious kids as a whole.
Doing some research right now but I feel like there have been pivotal speeches at least once every year going back to the 60s Civil Rights Movement then can be applied to every Black person’s life. I’ll post my examples later this weekend
