  • An overall new strategy needs to be approached:

    We need discipline.
    We need a spiritual revival.
    We need allies.
    We need love.

Improve Self -> Family -> Community

    Across the Diaspora.

This " Foundational Black American" ideology that Tariq Nasheed is at the forefront of, needs to die immediately. I'm sick of the division that some black Americans create to give themselves a false sense of superiority over other ethnicities, especially since we're all black at the end of the day.

Coulda just erased all this but kept tariq nasheed and the last 4 words of your 1st sentence and it would still be accurate.

Nah it's important to have sub-ethnic categories because that we all black rhetoric is incredibly dismissive. You can separate the idea from the person especially since it's not his originally and has implications that don't really concern anyone outside of descendants of American chattel slavery

  • Will never forgive the demographic of black folk that get all they information from 360p highest quality 25 minute youtube videos that let a wannabe pimp infiltrate the blackosophere

i can acknowledge sub-ethnicities however those kinda people like to blame immigrants for their problems instead of the system. A couple of months ago, I had a patient at my job that blamed immigrants for lack of opportunity. And then there was the whole "Haitians eating dogs" thing.

it just really pisses me off and the fact that its growing

I’ve had 2 irl encounters with FBA types. Both times leaving the club funny enough. They’re bigots to put it plainly. They have more smoke for Africans & Caribbeans than white people as well.

Unfortunately it is a growing sentiment you’ll find amongst people. I think the sentiment across the diaspora in America at least is that Black Americans feel the need to exert themselves as “other” and also sometimes as “superior” to everyone else. As if their specific struggles supersede the struggles of others across the diaspora. I’ve often heard the take “Why didn’t any African nations come to help us during the Civil Rights era?” As if niggas was just coolin, and living life.

These problems didn’t start with black Americans, because Africans & Caribbeans by enlarge bought into the stereotypes that was disseminated around the world about black Americans. So naturally you’re gonna be on the defensive when you start getting s*** from the people you thought was suppose to people in your corner no matter what. Because solidarity in color was the one thing you could count on most once upon a time.

I think it’s good for black Americans to want to search for their own identity, outside of or away from being African tbh. There is a distinct, and rich culture that has become its own thing. One of the most consumed and often imitated cultures across the world. There is a lot to take pride in. It starts getting weird when black American exceptionalism starts to act like they’re the only ones advancing the Black plight.

I really do think every black American who is able, should visit the continent at least once in their life though. There really is power in the land.

these are all just movements to cause more dissent and divide within the diaspora and it doesn't actually help any certain cause. The life and history of Black Americans is definitely different and it makes sense that we want to have our history as a deviation. But I think the bottom line is we all have dealt with our own brand of imperialism, colonialism, etc.. so this infighting feels silly.
