It's amazing how powerful one word is. I'm mulatto. My father is black, So when I put the word "black" It's so other black males might relate... It doesn't mean there isn't an overlap

This is a thread on paternal absenteeism, your framing paints black people in poor light by affirming a negative stereotype about black men.
You could've just called it the daddy issues thread, without having to slander black people

Yeah so my dad tries to make up the fact that he didn’t have a father by being very overbearing with me/my sis to a point my mom says “you know he’s just trying to live out his dreams through you” but yeah it drives me away when he wants to be that close to me. I’m very reserved for the most part

Growing up he was always trying to force me to sports and be social even though I really didn’t want to and shame me for it.

Currently he wants me to be his best friend and in my mind I’m thinking “I have my own life why can’t you have yours?”. And I’ve noticed he really doesn’t have a real identity and just wants to fit in. I see some aspects of my self in him but I’m more rebellious

Lately I’ve been less annoyed by it cause I get it But I still do not like asking him for s*** unlike my mom/sis cause he makes me feel bad for it & I’m still not comfortable at all opening up to him because he’s made me feel bad about myself growing up because he wants me to be this model kid like his “friends “ kids
