it's a good game but I still hold a grudge against half life cause they changed the direction of newer fps games that were developed after half life.

FPS became slower and had more scripted sequences

I just think other devs copied the wrong things from Half Life like the long intro where you have to wait for NPCs to get into the action

i see i also see that general population also agreeing i am seeing more and more classic shooters popping up on steam page, also most best fps of last decade were either overwatch or games like doom2016 (need to re play) or Wolfenstein expect for last one which heard was awful.

yea those boomer shooter started boomin in the last 2 years and they're all fun to play.
also I see Youtube vids about classic doom blow up. there's rhis decino guy who explains the doom source code and it's very interesting to watch

i mean the Zen map in black mesa is just so f***ing good compared to hl1

zen is so much better i have very similar critiques that most people have where Interloper went for what to f***en long while it was super cool i was getting to point that i wanted to finish the game asap but it was improvement but Gonarch's Lair was amazing one best boss fights i have had in recent memory

only say this cause i am not big fan of reliance physics in half life 2 which results in more puzzles

for me personally id put Alyx gameplay easily above all the other half lifes

story wise its much closer, id say hl2 (including the eps) > alyx > hl1

overall for me its hl2 > alyx > hl1

but theyre all 10/10 to me lol

this seems agreeable i liked half life 1 cause it was less gimmicky then half life 2 and its ep cause of that

iirc in opossing force the g-man also has a pretty big role, also explains the story/world a bit more, so i think that ones worth checking out
