This just became one of my fave songs ever. The leaps he takes with his vocals on the bridge are insane. Never heard anything like that before

! in front of link to embed. Yeah this is easily top 5 stevie for me. His 70s run is unmatched in music when was the first time you remember hearing Stevie?

Few questions regarding the thread. Is the week format good or should it be longer/shorter?

Cookies brought up the suggestion of people asking/voting for an artist to be covered. Y’all down with that? I’d be cool with this being a collaborative effort.

Should I cover hip hop as well? With this being a hip hop forum I feel everyone here is already familiar with all the goats but I’m not opposed to it.

I'm sure I heard him a lot on the car radio as a kid but I remember listening to him by myself on my IPad around freshman year of highschool. It's only until now that I'm really starting to dive into his full body of work and just figure out how he made music.

When was the first time you heard him?

As a kid my mom had this CD that I think was a compilation of songs that had Dwayne Wiggins, Lauryn Hill, and Stevie. We’d always play it when we were on road trips to visit family in Louisiana but I remember dancing to That Girl and All I Do in my moms room with my sisters on the bed. Good times being a lil kid.

Did my proper deep dive a few years back. Still ain’t done with his discography, but cleared his classic era and an album or two more.

Damn. You was blessed with that gospel background. Only regret in my life. I ain’t even a Christian no more and I’d still go to church just to get that training vocally and musically.

What makes Stevie Wonder so legendary is that not only is he an extremely talented artist, he also has had a ton of baby mamas and nobody had ever called him out for it Man had nine kids with five other women. Future could never.

yeah.. it’s my foundation and I’m glad my parents cultivated my gifts when i was younger.. Regardless of the genre I sing.. the influence is there. I dabble in songwriting, too.. just to flesh out melodies I have in my head:

I’ve grown a true love and adoration for The Secret Life of Plants. It was ahead of its time and deserved more love. The musicality from start to finish is magnificent. It’s my favorite album of King Stevie’s.
