Ninja gaiden , devil may cry are boss rush type games
no these games are not boss rush games, they have pretty well developed and varied levels in between boss fights

Lmao like other dude said these aren't boss rushes
In fairness they did sort of market this as one with the footage shown. And unless they were holding a ton back, I had a feeling there would be some exploration but nothing to intricate which is what the reviews seem to convey. At least certain areas are bigger I guess
Oh…
We are stuck in an endless loop if misery
Seen this from a review someone found on reddit
the first game episode, black wind mountain, takes 3-5 hours to pass (for most bosses and main story). And the other maps can be 5 times larger..
He is fairly skilled in ARPG, but needed 35 hours to pass main story with only necessary exploration.
The game has a very interesting way to fill westerners with some basic understanding of the mythology and ancient novel, including different styles of cartoons....
There is 40% game content hidden, waiting to be explored by the players
There are more than 50 spirit skills to learn (the powerful damage skills given by absorbing monster's soul). AND a lot of full transformation skills (where you can transform and fight).
He played for 70 hours, but still there are many bosses/quests hidden that he failed to find.
There are lots of art and details in places for players to explore - if you are interested in history, nature and architecture, you will spend hours to enjoy the details. He described this game as "tourist simulator".
There are many "photo spots" to be explored - good for someone who likes to have some coffee when playing.
Because of point 1, his biggest concern is that in big maps it is very easy for people to get lost. This is consistent with all reviews we have seen today.
The game has its own interesting mechanics for 2nd run after the first throughplay
The Chinese voice acting is god level - it is highly recommended for non-chinese speakers to use Chinese voice and English sub
@op you still here? Game drops in 3 days let’s get it jumpin
