I like how you can run and use health in smash but ysing your health while on the pole above most attacks i can def see being useful or even op

Bro this game has combo strings (although not a lot)

It has perfect strikes and perfect dodges

It has a skill tree

It has charges

There are actual individual levels and the levels n maps are isolated and segmented

You are stuck pretty much with the same tools the whole game

Jumping is a main mechanic in and outside of combat

It doesnt have builds in the souls or rpg sense

It doesnt have blocking

It isnt an rpg at all

There is no point recovery system after you die

There is no help from npcs or players

Black myths combat is more fluid while souls is more strategic/methodical

Im not against the souls tag and it does work for most such as Code Vein, Lies of P (bloodborne), Surge and so on

Nioh and Black Myth are the only ones that either drastically adds to the genre or only uses a lil of the genre, respectively. I consider them as in the middle of both action styles, but If its on a graph line then nioh would be a notch towards souls and black myth would be a notch towards hack n slash.

So far for me, only a flask like element and how npcs are set up are straight up souls. And how fights are more-like 1 on 1 duels.

But yeah its no ill will or disrespect I enjoy disccusing the core of games and their nuances

Its all good regardless how much we disagree how much "souls" is sumn, its still a great experience even if it was considered a madden-like

Ok the desert area is really cool
