Anyone got a full hair routine (products you use daily/weekly) that help me grow a fro?
I've been trying for years and I can never really grow a fro after like 5 months. It just plateaus
@nickyxnyc i keep gettin itchy bumps on my head after going to the barbershop. Is it a hygiene issue on their part? Idk if they clean clippers after haircuts even though they put alcohol on my head n s***
might see a dermatologist but this s*** is terrible

Hi everyone. Any advice on a new hairstyle? I had 180 waves for a year and a half and I want to switch it up. I have a oval face shape, broad forehead, with type 4 hair. I currently have been growing out my hair for the past 3 months so it’s medium length.

Get you some cornrows this summer.
Yeah so I’m dying my hair again but wanted to dry instead of combing the bleach in my hair just use a sponge brush instead to just get the tips and not the roots?
can someone tell me how this curly-fro type hair style is pulled off? I'm thinking all he did was undid his braids? Ik now he has 4c hair.

I got 4c hair too - also what does that day to day hair routine look like?
last time I tried to grow my hair out, it was lookin like this & dented easily if I laid down smh
retroactively creating a middle part in my dreads so it doesnt cover my eyes anymore
For locs what shampoo do y’all use? When I had locs in the past I used Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo and it was amazing. Unfortunately they discontinued it recently now that I’m getting my locs back I need a good shampoo.

yeah that’s just a nice twist out
the thing with that especially if you got 4c hair is it’s not gone be permanent, it’s things you can do to extend it like tying your hair up and keeping it covered. But after the first wash you probably gone have to do the braids again to get the same effect.
the longer your hair gets though it starts to matter less

ahh I see. would you happen to have any idea on general maintenance with braids? especially for 4c hair? there seems to be millions of differing opinions online

well especially since you don’t seem like you want to keep them in long, braids pretty easy to maintain. all you really gotta worry about is build up, so don’t use a lot of heavy creams or moisturizer's with residue.
you can really get away with just water and some tea oil honestly. wash em with your regular routine and just take them out when you ready.
