Wetline > Eco. We are off that now + Wetline is cheaper.
Get it, study it. learn your hair beyond curl type. Density, thickness & porosity are more important than the curl pattern.
Check the ingredients of what you're using. For instance, coconut oil & jojoba oil are better for low porosity hair than high porosity hair.
Cantu sucks OP. Eden Bodyworks curling cream is superior and a better purchase.
Gonna list some things out, the products are cheap but curly girl approved; aka no parabens or sulfates or other bad ingredients that would f*** up your hair.
Best shampoos:
Personally I need my hair and scalp CLEAN, I use products and gel so I use liquid black soap and add tea tree oil & peppermint oil to it.

If you have locs, you should be transferring your shampoos to applicator bottles: amazon.com/gp/product/B07FKMNFXM so you can apply it directly to your scalp.Clean scalps + moisture = hair growth.
I cut my own hair, my hair was down my back as a child and I have no recent racial admixture. Now it's bra strap length when straight (got a pixie cut in 2017)
It's a myth we can't grow our hair.

I cut my hair and now currently getting waves, it's just as tedious the only difference is that conditioners make me overcurl so I have to use more shampoos instead to lay my hair.
Oil up twice a day (coconut, argan, Shea butter and grapeseed oil)
Brush for 45 mins a day and put in that durag anytime I'm not brushing and not at work
What hairstyles y'all rock? I generally rock an afro, but get it braided (cornrows) from time to time. I work in food service, so when it's not braided I gel it down and pull it back into a ponytail for work.
Cut my dreadlocks after two years to restart but it's been two months my s*** slow as f*** barely noticing any growth.
Also still can't grow a beard f***
My hair grows mad slow so this is like a year and 6/7 months of freeforming
I think I have 4c hair. I chopped my hair off completely back in February/Early March last year
I had freefrom high top dreads up until this summer, I shaved my head and had to start again from scratch. I'm starting to get a decent length on top and I take hair gummies daily. My length will return in time lol

Hair gummies? Put me on
Hair gummies? Put me on
Before these I used to take biotin pills, these taste way better and they both helped make my hair grow thicker/fuller

My family kept criticizing me saying I won't be able to get a job unless I cut them off

You're growing them back or doing something different?
Loc'd my hair at the end of last. I have good length right now. Never cutting them ever.

I'm growing a high fade again but not as high but I don't think I'm gonna let them loc and just use a curl sponge

Do you feel like it was hurting you from getting a job or did you feel that people were put off by them?

My hair was fine imo and many others agreed, it's just that my mom and stepdad (who I live with) are very old school, they were literally making me wear a bald fade growing up until I fought to grow my hair out. I was basically forced but it's whatever, I'll still be content with my hair once I reach the right length

alternate between two-strand twist, box braids, and cornrows every 3-4ish weeks. Iβll wear my hair out for a couple days before braiding tho
Currently starting a new hair journey after cutting. Hoping to make it to MBL minimally. ππΏ
