I couldn't finish the video everytime I start watching it
It's a masterpiece honestly. Profoundly moving and disturbing. Executed extremely well.

how is lazarus not more brutally emotionally hitting than blackstar
he literally is on a death bed with death getting his hands on him
comes out the closet rocking an outfit from his prime glorious days then creeps back into the closet forever leaving us

It's the lyrics and musical atmosphere that separate them for me. To me Blackstar is a musical journey. The feeling of progression and all of its elements coming together to this disturbing picture of a lost world with perception, your eyes, at the centre of it all. It's just so universal, disturbing and fascinating to me. That's not to say Lazarus doesn't have some of the same qualities. It does, but, personally, I relate to and prefer Blackstar more.

heh it’s one of the lesser song of the album imo - a bit over the topic the jazz prog style
still his best album tho

the fact the original version he dropped was all home made demo by himself is insane, he was still going at it like he was 20yo

Link that
look how cool that s*** is
Jesus it’s so much heavier than the Blackstar version but I love how filthy the mix is
Honestly makes the mix on BS sound too clean which is a critique I remember the needledrop making
Also the way the drums and song starts out of the sound of f***ing bombs>>>> that’s goat s***

yeah i wish he had the balls to make an album sounding demo or rough mix like this, its a shame lot of superstars don’t see the artistic potential in this
but even then blackstar is so crazy to pull off artistically and in his day and age of his career or life, im fine with how it is - can’t be greedy, like i said it’s my fav by him anyway
but yeah LOVE the explosion sounds like a sample it’s so goated wish the album had that

How was he still making s*** ahead of his time at the end of his life?
