It’s frustrating when the best albums are released poorly af. I’m tired of this man let people listen easily smh
At least this isn’t jay electronica tier
I thought Mos did a great job but I expected him to so maybe Talib just surprised me more idk lol I do wish Mos had his own solo track on here considering Kweli got one
Mos had a solo track though with My Favorite Band?

Kinda sick Mos and Talib both had a solo track.

Never, yasiin would rather never release this than put it on streaming

I totally thought they both had verses on that for some reason but it's prly because I've just been listening to the album all at once not so much individual tracks and it flows together very well to where I don't always recognize when the track has changed lol...I thought Mos did a good job considering how little we've heard from him in these recent years
It’s pretty refreshing hearing a Sunni Muslim perspective in hip hop. A lot of Yasiin’s content these days kinda revolves around dunya when I listen to his verses. It really fits in great where my head is trying to be at.
The thing that’s great about it is it’s not lecturing. It’s more introspective from a guy who’s lived it and kinda grown with it.

Huge departure from A Written Testimony which is very braggy, preachy and militant. Kweli sounds like the one doing battle, very materialist. Def is more inward, spiritual. Great contrast. Rounds everything out.
Hot take, but I don't think madlib production was all that crazy on here (still pretty great) but I feel like he had better s*** for them to use but they just picked these
Sweetheart is so so good just wish Yasiin had a bit more energy in the verse but it’s beautiful regardless
