But w BSK its more of a band where everyones role is the vocalist so it just makes sense for everyone to do vocals. Plus we have Sounds Like Fun! that doesnt have gabe vocals (which wasnt supposed to be that way but she got too high off her first dab to record her part and the song ended up being how it is because of that 😭) and whenever we perform it bc its one of our biggest songs gabe is just on stage w nothing to do for the whole song so we dont wanna have any more moments like that

i remember a few years ago i used to have this feeling that i would work on a project for months and it would come out and my friends or whatever people online i could get to listen would peep that night and f*** with it and that felt cool for sure but it never felt like they were playing it past that and were mostly listening just bc they knew me and i feel like we’re really starting to break that i mean since the surf stuff but this one really feels like oh okay people legit like this not just bc they know us. it means so much to me man ive been working every day since i was 10 to start to get to where we’re getting w this , thank u for listening

i’m glad u noticed that because transitions is my #1 priority in putting a tracklist together and i love doing s*** like having a song like joy right next to a song like cyberkiss 2 u and having it make sense

i wanted the album to feel like a gta radio station sorta with how it transitioned

my first impression of this is great, i will have more thoughts later when i listen more. i think it sounds more polished than the draft i heard but in a very good way, it still retains the loose feeling and is constantly engaging without feeling sloppy at all. i get reminded of other artists in small doses as i listen but never in a way that just makes me want to listen to them instead. really good synth sounds all around that i think captures the entire aesthetic well

initial favorite is peach cobbler maybe

@Mitchell you ever listened to George Clanton? i was getting reminded of him with the keyboard/synth sounds and some of the hooks especially on peach cobbler

one of my favorite albums of the 2010s which has a really special feeling to me so its a great thing to be reminded of

Boycott is one of my best verses on the album imo from a writing and performance standpoint imo and it was one of the most fun songs to make for it

Gabe just screaming the hook was so funny and it sounded so dope, and the synths and the piano in the song are so colorful to me
