i like that we're getting a bunch of medieval style games lately. dark and darker was dope too, it's like medieval fantasy dungeon tarkov

mfs need to stop flooding the space with basic ass shooters

oh s***, and it's a roguelite? lets go. loving this bigger/aaa style roguelite/roguelike games like returnal. returnal and vampire survivors have been great for the genre imo.

Lots of great medieval games out there tbh, especially MP games like Mordhau and Chivalry 2. But they always bring out the weird, racist crowds for some reason.

Need Timesplitters soon . Games where random guns are in time periods where they dont fit or weapons from all throughout history and playing with settings, destruction

aren't most on pc tho? a lot of niche/experimental mp games are on pc but not console

Timesplitters if its great will really change the multiplayer landscape. Timesplitters and Perfect Dark need to be good so bad

Nah next year multiplayer at least is light because no battlefield or call of duty so there is space for something new to rise

Mordhau and Chivalry are actually on console iirc but yeah some of the more very indie/niche ones are only on PC. But those are the types of games that wouldn't be played much by console ppl anyway, like Exanima.

Why did this matter though?

cause pre alpha footage might as well just be concept art. the game in that trailer doesn't exist in any way. its pre rendered "gameplay", which is just video game marketing talk for a video of what they intend the gameplay to look like, nobody was actually behind the sticks. there are lots and lots of examples of much more reputable studios (this is their first game) putting out pre alpha or alpha gameplay and the final product looked nothing like what they initially showed

Chivalry 2 is f***ing great on PS5. Though they have kinda let console players down with some…interesting choices.

Can’t change controls at all and the default throw command is L1 + R1 which each have their own default use…and them together is finicky at best. 50% of the time I won’t throw my weapon and will instead either do the L1 or R1 attack which usually gets me killed.

Also console players don’t have the “chase mechanic” which is just astounding how this is even possible in a coding sense. Basically on PC if you’re running after someone that’s running away, you get a slight speed boost to catch them. This mechanic doesn’t exist on console despite it being a cross-play game.

Other than that though game is crazy fun.
