You know what else cant be debated? Numbers. Know how much views sold first week? 1.04 million and thats it being an apple exclusive. Yall are all biased as being big forum nerds who think its cool to hate Drake, so out of touch with reality.

So Adele 25 is at least 3 times as impactful as Views?

People still saying Blonde isn’t one of these albums are hilarious. Like it’s objective it’s not up to you LMFAO

Who has hated Drake itt and went out of their way to discredit him? This isn’t some corny “this person is great but this person sucka thread”

To me, I’ve personally seen those two albums as the most significant in impact but I definitely won’t deny Drakes impact / popularity.

You can have your opinion thats fine, im just saying from an unbiased perspective theres literally no way Drake cant be mentioned when he was the most popular artist of the decade by far. Most streamed artist year after year. No ones affected the culture more than Drake during the 2010s so its disrespectful to leave him out. TLOP and Blonde are cool but lets not kid ourselves, they're not getting played outside and are pretty niche albums today. Views is a universally played album that appeals to casual listeners while still having plenty of deep cuts for his devoted fans. EVERYONE on Earth is familar with a song off of Views, cant say the same for TLOP/Blonde tho.

    hey man relax

    https://www.coolaccidents.com/news/frank-ocean-blonde-3-years-on

Kendrick cited blonde as an influence during the Damn. sessions

Lorde cited blonde as an influence during the Melodrama sessions

Sza cited blonde as an influence during the Ctrl sessions

    Brockhampton (self-explanatory)

Rocky has cited Blonde and frank in general as changing the way he went about making his music

I could go on and on about the underground artists who have clearly been greatly influenced by blonde whether it be Dijon, Choker, Jean Dawson, etc (whether they would like to admit it or not)

no drake stan or person who cant listen to a song without drums can come itt and tell me this album has no influence, ive WITNESSED it. Most influential of the decade? Now of course that can be debated, but what can’t be debated is artists literally saying on record that it influenced them, and literal new sub-genres emerging after it’s release completely jacking the sound and aesthetic

Pretty much any bedroom pop/alt R&B act of the last few years has been pretty obviously influenced by Blonde, this forum just doesn't really mess with that kind of music as much

I'd also add Clairo, Omar Apollo, Dominic Fike, Black Party, Berhana as some of the more popular ones

Adele has numbers, doesnt have influence. Drake has the numbers, influence, iconic videos, and is more streamed. You thought you had one

I agree that Views or IYRTNITL is definitely in the conversation no doubt. I personally think in my experience the two albums I mentioned I’ve seen just a tiny bit more of their influence but I definitely would say either one of those Drake projects would be in the Top 5

they want so badly for that to be the narrative, they say it in every thread and i always have to scrounge to find the hate and it’s usually only two or three troll posts
