I still believe all of this. As objectively as music can possibly be judged, blonde is the greatest album.
You make some good points, but I don’t want to hear opinions from people who only listen to 1 genre, or people who shun music wo drums, or people who unironically avoid music they think is mysterious.
This one is going up against albums by the Beatles, prince, Bowie, queen, Led Zeppelin etc. and even for them its hard to match in scope and quality.
Masterful sound design, ultra-intentional sequencing w exactly 30 mins in daytime 30 in night mode, songwriting that’s unmatched in this generation, works in total disregard of genre lines, no gimmicks, beautiful lush chord progressions, ridiculous credit list, and countless moments that you feel in your god. damn. chest.
just finished relistening and I can’t hold a single album to it, even ones I consider my favorites.

This comment is so f***ing full of itself lmao

I mean you cant argue about whats the best album though, kinda depends on your experiences

You cant objectively judge music shut up only thing you can use is like complexity and unique qualtiies in compsoition and everyone knows thats boring and doesnt matter otherwise all top 10 albums would be jazz and classical it has to do with emotion thats the whole ethos of blonde is nothing is objective about it
If not the one and only.

ok
yeah OP is absolutely right
this is the album
the amount of emotional and musical depth is something that isn’t apparent in any other album
It’s good but it’s not on the level of classic RnB/Soul albums like innervisions, what’s going on, Otis blue etc
Not fair to compare it to those
S*** is an indie masterpiece
I love this album a lot but I really can’t stand the frank ocean fandom
Tyler fans worse
