Nah, he shouldn't just eat them. @skrilla once you have every trophy except the 3 ending ones, put that save file on a flash drive. For the endings you'll get to choose between two dialogue options. One results in no fight, whether you ate the cords or not. The other option results in one boss fight if you didn't consume the cords. If you did consume the umbilical cords and choose this same latter dialogue option, you'll get that fight plus another extra boss fight. So you can do the first ending, reload save from your flash, do second ending, reload save and then actually eat the cords and fight the final boss then the secret boss
If you eat the umbilical cords before that boss fight, you'll be locked out of the second one where you only fight one boss. I already ate three cords long ago, so I can only get 2 endings at his point

My posts are how he should do it if he wants the Platinum without having to play the whole game three times. Otherwise yeah, he can just eat them and get that ending
May 22, 2022·1 replyChubby GambinoDefinitely do the DLC at this point. Acquire 3 umbilical cords but DON'T eat them yet. Do all the other trophies (all weapons and hunter tools, kill the Pthumerian queen etc) and then put your save file on a flash drive. Otherwise you'll have to play the entire game multiple times to get the platinum trophy
But even if you don't want the platinum, do the DLC now for sure
I think I missed my opportunity to kill the Queen. After I killed Mergo’s Wet Nurse and came back out, she like bowed n disappeared

I think it can be used but you have to format it first, so like a lil 4GB flash drive would be better
And the queen is a boss in a dungeon, I don't think that was her. It's a bit of effort to get to her but you might be able to type in a glyph code and get to her immediately if you have PS Plus. You can also use the cloud for your save instead of a flash if you got Plus

So I was looking up best gems to get for my beast cutter & whirligig saw. People saying through specific chalice dungeons, I put in their codes in my game but it says I don’t meet the requirements? How am I suppose to meet them?

You need the required ritual materials, if you’ve got that, you need the right chalice, if you’ve got that, then likely it’s some kind of cursed/rotten dungeon that you need to open yourself first before you can use that specific dungeon via the code.

That’s what I was trying to do, but the codes I’ve seen online for some high end gems when I enter them in my game, it said I don’t meet the requirements. I’m just gonna go through all the story based ones first l. So I can say I cleared it at least once

It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to farm for materials just to open the next set of chalice dungeons. Just completing the preceding ones should've been enough to be able to open them.

i still havent ever completed these past the very first dungeon lol. ive been wanting to but then i play the main game and get my fill.
plus like you said they feel kinda tedious, but i know there's a lot of content in there .
