Orphan/Lawrence brought me to my knees though (pun intended). Legit will never forget how beating Orphan felt

Maria was tough as hell, I used like 20 blood vials and barely survived. I think I got some good gems from the chalices so my sword is pretty beefy.

Yeah, I was charge swinging the Axe to win until that point. Had to learn parrying. Eventually I could time parries in her first phase without getting hit but I didn't even try parrying in those second and third phases

Even now in NG+, I can't parry some of the basic enemies in Yharnam

Ludwig, Maria and especially Orphan were nightmares for me. Got Lawrence on my first try

What’s the best weapon in the old hunters dlc? My main stats are str and skl

I had a similar build and I stuck with my Hunters Axe and Ludwig's Holy Blade I prioritized Str slightly and went with weapons that I felt had better attacks than numbers though. Like it's tough to beat the reach and crowd control of those 2 handed Axe swings

Rakuyo (Maria’s weapon) is broken but for strength I absolutely love the Whirligig Saw, the L2 you can just walk around and hold it spinning and just chainsaw through anything, it’s amazing LMAO especially with the str scaling. You can legit shred through certain enemies. Great moveset all around too

You can even put fire paper on it and have a flaming chainsaw God tier

I got the whirligig! It looks sick. Feels familiar, maybe something in elden ring looks like this.

They put a similar one at Volcano Manor, called Ghiza’s Wheel. But the Whirligig fits the Bloodborne playstyle & mechanics so much better

yeah I’m struggling with these two rn, they’re a lot harder than maria and Ludwig imo

Whirligig is by the far the best just cuz serrated damage is broken. But from the dlc my personal favorites are the boom hammer and the amygdalan arm.

My favorite OAT is the Chikage though. If you haven’t done a bloodtinge build you should and get that damage goes crazy

I only played Bloodborne up until after defeating Father Gascoigne. Also killed Cleric Beast, as well.
Just didn't have the patience for it, I guess, even tho I loved the atmosphere and world/character design.

Started playing Elden Ring and got up to about half of the game (Altus Plateau), if I'm not mistaken, according to KTT and other sites.

When I'm done with ER, I'm 100% coming back to Bloodborne and I'm actually hyped as hell for it.

Also now that you're in NG+ you should look into false depth chalices for fresh runs and farming the best gems

I always use them now to either get weapons I want earlier or get the best gems to boost me up. Also easy to farm echoes but that's secondary

just beat orphan took like maybe 20 tries and then on the final try I got to his second phase. Weirdly before I had gotten him down to 75% health and he never triggered second phase but it happened this time super early like at half health and holy s*** it was so intense I felt like neo dodging bullets in the matrix it was so epic.

overall glad I didn’t go into this on ng because I can tell ng+ gave those bosses an extra oomph. I was sweating. do they get harder each ng+? Low key wanna try fighting one on like ng+7 lol

I have been fighting myself on buying a PS4 just for Bloodborne for about two years now, and I'm close to cracking. I miss that damn game so goddamn much, but I have no interest in the PS5.
